Why should we cherish life?
My purpose for this post is to cherish life and those in it.
Life is so precious and fleeting. You never know when your time is done here on earth and ready for your next journey. We all come into this world terminal, and it is just up to time to take its toll and determine how, we will come to our ultimate end. What will we be remembered for?
I hold firmly to the belief that EVERY life should be cherished from the moment of conception to its natural end. Life comes and goes by so quickly. We should cherish those we love and the moments that we share.
We should cherish life because it could be gone in a brink of an eye.
Cherish “yesterday” and live “today” and look forward to “tomorrow’s” dreams.
It is a fact that life is indeed very short. I cannot emphasize this enough. Do not abuse it, disrespect it or neglect it. Always cherish life because this is the only life we have. Life is too precious and it should not be taken for granted.
So many times, we as individuals take life and what it offers for granted. It is time that many of us wake up and realize that life is short. I realize now how important forgiveness is. When we hold grudges against others they consume us. We concentrate so much on how they have hurt us. When we hold on to the past or someone who has hurt us, we are transferring energy that can be used for other things.
Instead of concentrating on the good around us, we concentrate on the bad. We talk ill of others and we do not know the harm it can cause. We go to work every day and sometimes never take a moment to enjoy the scenery around us. We complain about our workload when others wish they had a job. We always look at the negative side of life but we never see the positive life has to offer.
When we close our eyes every night we do not know, if we will awake to see another day. Some of us do not even say a prayer before we go to bed, giving thanks for seeing another day, and asking forgiveness for anything we have done. Too many of us take life for granted.
Do not let a single day pass you by without expressing your feelings to the people you care about. The phrase 'life is too short' is not just a saying but the truth.
May you cherish your life; May you cherish your end; and may the dash in between represent a life well lived and memories far beyond this world.
Stay well and safe always.
